God Save the King

On this first morning of our new King's reign, let us pray for His Majesty:

O King of Kings and Lord of Lords,

Sovereign over all the kings of this earth, 

Grant grace, faith and wisdom to our new King: 

Console, comfort, strengthen, save and guide him. 

May he reign in faithfulness and humility, 

Knowing that he is but a servant of Heaven’s High King. Amen.

And let us listen to the wisdom of His Majesty's mother, our late Queen:

‘God sent into the world … a Saviour, with the power to forgive.’ 

‘God’s love is for everyone. There is no one beyond its reach.’ 

‘Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace … stretched out His hands in love, acceptance and healing.’

‘I know that the only way to live my life is ... to put my trust in God.’
