The Gospel at the Heart of the Church

That's the heart of the ministry of the church; it's what gives rise to everything we do in the church. If we cannot somehow trace everything that we do in the church to its source in the gospel and its effect in bringing that gospel to a world that desperately needs it, then it just doesn't need to be done, at least by the church.
